George Packer

George Packer is a staff writer at The Atlantic and the author of eleven books, most recently the novel The Emergency. His nonfiction books include The Unwinding (winner of the National Book Award), The Assassins’ Gate (a Pulitzer finalist and winner of the New York Public Library’s Helen Bernstein Book Award and Overseas Press Club’s Cornelius Ryan Award), and Our Man (winner of the Hitchens Prize and the Los Angeles Times Book Prize for Biography).
