ARION PRESS

As the last unified hot-metal type foundry, letterpress workshop, and bindery in daily operation the US, Arion Press is one of the oldest printers in the country where books can be made entirely by hand through every step of the process. Arion books are crafted to last for generations. We collaborate with luminary contemporary artists to publish important texts of our time – typically classic literature – as fine press limited editions.

Our mission is to preserve, celebrate, and champion traditional book craft in a digital era. Through our editions, public programs, and educational opportunities, we celebrate the role of the printed word in the 21st century.  More at arionpress.com.

THOMAS JEFFERSON’S MONTICELLO

Thomas Jefferson's Monticello is one of America's most compelling historic and cultural destinations: an iconic mountaintop home, set within a richly storied landscape, animated by riveting historical drama, and resting on decades of meticulous research that draw you into the world of founder Thomas Jefferson.

From the ideals of liberty and equality that helped define and challenge America, to his contributions to architecture, winemaking, science, and gardening, to the lives and contributions of the enslaved people who lived and labored on this mountain, Monticello offers a powerful experience—one where you can savor the beauty and drama of the place, come together to explore the nation's history from different angles, and leave feeling more connected to where we’ve come from, and with a renewed sense of optimism about the possibilities ahead.
